Welcome to Bridgeland. It's far from ordinary, but not far from work, school, shopping and entertainment.
Nestled within one of Houston's fastest growing corridors, Bridgeland is bisected by the Grand Parkway. It's conveniently located just 2.5 miles from U.S. 290 and a mere six-minutes from Cypress Park & Ride.
On the Grand Parkway, residents can be in the Energy Corridor in less than 30 minutes. Just 35 minutes to the east is the new ExxonMobil campus and The Woodlands.
If you'd rather relax on the way in, the Cypress Park & Ride is right in Cypress Village Station, the unique town center that features restaurants, medical offices shopping and childcare. The buses come every 15 minutes, and will have you in downtown Houston in about 50 minutes.
Bridgeland was recognized as the 2015 Master Planned Community of the Year by the Texas Association of Builders and has won more than 100 awards since opening in 2006. Bridgeland employs a multi-layered approach for the placement of residential neighborhoods, strategically placing parks and amenities, as well as public and private schools. And, a detailed preservation plan outlines the community's environmentally-conscious approaches to irrigation, energy and wildlife. Being within the eastern boundaries of the Katy Prairie, this environmental gem provides refuge and foraging areas for resident and migratory birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians.
The amount of park acreage planned in Bridgeland goes well beyond the guidelines outlined by the National Parks and Recreation Association. In fact, Bridgeland has double the amount recommended park acreage.
With 3,000 acres devoted to open space and recreation, Bridgeland fosters a lifestyle where community and nature thrive together. No homesite is more than a quarter mile from green space. That means easy access to parks and open play areas.
You'll also love our 60 miles of interconnecting, wandering trails that wind among the sprawling lakes and surrounding green spaces.
The six-mile path that's already in place has wildlife observation areas with educational signage, fitness stations and unique workout equipment.
Fishing and boating enthusiasts will feel right at home among Bridgeland's 900 acres of lakes and waterways. More than 238,000 catfish, bass and feeder fish were put into the lakes for catch-and-release fishing. In your quest for "the big one," you can cast from the pier on Lake Bridgeland or from a non-motorized boat on Cypress Lake. We even offer residents use of recreational equipment like kayaks, canoes and paddle boats.
On those hot Houston days, the Lakeland Activity Center offers relief with its spray park, Junior Olympic-size pool and two 30-foot tower slides. Exercise classes, community events and seasonal workshops are also hosted in this 6,000-sqaure-foot facility. We have a full-time activities director on-site to manage the bustling social calendar.
And here's a truly unique feature: the Cy-Fair ISD has begun construction on a 127-acre educational village located near the Grand Parkway. This new campus has nearly 1,000,000 square-feet of learning space to accommodate 6,000 students. It will include a 4-story high school, 3-story middle school and 2-story elementary school. The high school and elementary school are expected to open in 2017, and the date of the middle school opening will be announced soon.
Students currently living in Bridgeland attend Cy-Fair ISD's Pope Elementary, Smith Middle School or Cy-Ranch High School which are located directly across the street from Bridgeland's main entrance.
The current offering is for 24 50' homesites. Many of them are located on cul-de-sacs and/or have no back neighbors! You can choose from 1, 1.5, and 2-story single-family homes.
