This is our first home from M/I Homes and we looked around at several builders all over the Charlotte area, and the thing that impressed me the most is how tight the house is. The Energy Star ratings are very important to us, trying to save money and the reduced rate from Duke Energy and electric and utilities are very reasonable. The house stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer the energy ratings are some of the most important issues. Also our New Home Consultant was excellent at explaining how everything worked throughout our experience. Since we were in Florida for a lot of the process it was a huge help.

We loved the building process. With this being our first new home, it was a great experience to watch every aspect of our home being built from scratch. The constant updates from the team here in North Carolina were really appreciated. We looked forward to every call. The process was seamless.

The layout of the house is exactly what we were looking for. The master bedroom on the ground floor was a must for us, and the upstairs is there so we can use it if we want. We have our grandchildren come often so they have their space upstairs and we have ours downstairs too. But if we want to use the upstairs we can turn the rooms into anything we want, there’s so much open space.

Our New Home Consultant did a great job at picking everything out, it’s like he knew everything we liked and what would be perfect for us.

We enjoyed the process so much, things always come up when buying a home but we actually didn’t have any issues. We did use the mortgage company and they were very responsive, literally in ten minutes they would call back or email back immediately. If I had issues they made it smooth, it was a very smooth process. The closing went beautifully. The division Vice President was even at our closing which is something that’s very rare so it made the process more personal. They did everything they promised. Our Construction Manager still stops by to see how we are doing or if we need anything, which we love. He came by last week just to say hey, he has been so helpful with everything.

Buy an M/I home! You’ll be satisfied with your decision. They give you options, almost like a custom builder. You will get whatever you want or anything you are looking for. M/I Homes was the only builder we looked at who offered lawn care, which was a plus for us. They stand by everything they said they do, which is so important when you are buying a home.”

This is our first new home and first M/I home. There are a number of things that convinced us to move here. First and foremost, we loved the community and our New Home Consultant. He was exceptional! He provided us with all the time we needed and he walked us through each stage of the buying process. We thought the community, and all the amenities it offered, made it seem as if you were on a vacation. It was a great experience purchasing with M/I Homes.

Any little thing that arose was pointed out and M/I Homes took care of. I called either our New Home Consultant or the builder, and they made sure that we were happy! M/I stood by the quality of their workmanship. I’ve heard from other people that purchased from different builders about problems they’ve experienced. It’s important to stand by your product and M/I Homes does just that! They go beyond what other builders do even after you’re settled in and living in your home.

They were very professionally well and orientated. The house looked spectacular. The guys who fixed the home after the purchase were excellent. I've never heard of or seen a 30-year warranty after purchasing before. Everything was great and it was a very satisfying home buying experience.

Just want to emphasize, the greatest reason we bought the home was because of the Sales Agent. She spent almost three hours with us on a late Sunday afternoon. She was earnest, sincere and was thorough in getting us to express our needs and wants and tried her utmost to find the best home. If it wasn't for her, we probably would've gone with a different builder at another time. To this day, even after our purchase, she is the first to help us out with any questions and concerns. She's a true gem and professional. You are blessed to have her as your agent.

Chanavia Barefield is fantastic. She was very responsive and her integrity is top-notch. From a customer satisfaction viewpoint, she is totally terrific. She is for the people. She kept us up to date on what was going on. Clint Brown has taken care of all the small detail items like it was his home. He is very thorough. We have been through very detailed items and he is more detailed than us. He tries to find a solution to any issues. He is very responsive, even during the weekend.
