Beautiful, Historical Parks
There are many ways to experience Florida’s beauty in the Ellenton area. If you enjoy history, visit the only plantation house left in southern Florida. The Gamble Plantation Historic State Park dates back to the mid-1890s and spreads across 16 acres of land. You can also take a trip to the Terra Ceia Preserve State park, which is just seven miles northwest of Ellenton. This park covers nearly 2,000 acres and is perfect for boating, canoeing, fishing and more.
Ellenton Premium Outlets offers nearly 130 outlet stores specializing in everything from clothing and jewelry to home-furnishing shops. With brands like Saks Fifth Avenue, Coach, Banana Republic and more, there is someone for everyone on your shopping list. And, with a full food court, featuring Greek, American and Italian dining options, it’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday.
Ellenton is also home to the Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex, a 115,000-square-foot facility that features two NHL-size hockey rinks, a fitness center, an indoor soccer and football field, and an arcade. The complex hosts adult and youth leagues, clinics, camps, and lessons for hockey and figure skating, and also provides public skating sessions.
