A note to (i) recent homeowners, (ii) buyers who have not yet closed on their home, (iii) potential buyers and customers, and (iv) REALTORS® working with any of the foregoing, in order to clarify our policies and practices in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its ever growing impact on our business and our collective health and safety.
Clearly, this is an unprecedented time and information is evolving by the day... even by the hour. But, one thing is certain: the health and well-being of our customers, employees, trades people, and their families come first. We must all be smart and take the necessary precautions to remain healthy, both physically and emotionally. In that regard, I want to share with you the steps we are taking in light of the current challenging conditions we all face:
- Our sales offices and model homes are open to tour by personal appointment only.
- All M/I Financial loan applications, closings, and design center meetings are by appointment only.
- Any warranty or customer care appointments will be for emergency only (routine maintenance or warranty work will be temporarily postponed until further notice).
To maintain a safe working environment, we have already implemented a companywide practice whereby all of our associates who can work from home are encouraged to do so. In addition, we are committed to frequent cleaning of our models and offices, ensuring that associates stay home if they feel ill, and minimizing the number of people that gather. Our goal is to create spaces that are safe for everyone. With respect to scheduled appointments, you can expect us to ask a few prescreening questions prior to meeting in the interest of everyone's health and safety.
In addition to the above, our website at mihomes.com remains open, with rich media and information about each of our communities as well as our nearly 1,300 Quick Move-In Homes. Here you can experience virtual tours of many of our homes, walking through each room as if you were actually there. Every plan we build also features an interactive floorplan, allowing you to personalize the home of your dreams. And you can browse the extraordinary photography we’ve captured of each community.
