A Guide to Moving to Fort Myers
Posted by Rachel Torres in Raleigh, M/I Homes Culture
It’s our absolute honor to support two renowned organizations—CASA and Pelotonia—with a special benefit home in The Triangle this year.
What’s a benefit home? A home that, together with our trade partners, we are banding together to donate a portion of the proceeds to charity.
We wanted to make a local impact in the Raleigh housing industry, as well as a global impact. This home is located in one of our premier communities, Andrews Chapel, located in Durham, NC.
More About CASA and Pelotonia
Why did we choose these two important causes? Allison Moriarty, Vice President of Sales & Marketing in Raleigh, shares:
“Over the past number of years, we have gotten to know CASA and witnessed their efforts to help those struggling with homelessness in The Triangle area.
"When they introduced Kings Ridge and shared how this project will help end homelessness for over 10% of those struggling in Wake County, we knew we had to be part of it.
“Through the generous donations of our trade partners, we will be able to help contribute funding to this worthy cause.”
Half of the proceeds raised from this home will be given to the King’s Ridge project through CASA.
Pelotonia was founded in 2008 and is a grassroots movement with one goal: to end cancer. Focused on a community of passionate fundraisers and centered around a three-day experience of cycling, entertainment, and volunteerism, Pelotonia has raised over $236 million for cancer research, and 100% of those funds supports do just that.
The other half of the home’s proceeds will be donated to the amazing Pelotonia.
As you can tell, we’re pretty excited about all of the good that will come from this home. Find out more about M/I Homes’ commitment to causes like Pelotonia across the nation.
