A Rich History
By way of the Erie Canal, many New England settlers headed west and found a new home in what is now modern-day Canton in 1825. The city itself became a township in 1834 and over time the area has evolved into what we see today. Canton is home to a variety of spots the history buffs among us will love, which include various museums and the Bartlett-Travis House.
